I already have 1 stick of corsair XMS pc3500 512 so I will have a gig. I'm goign to use my current GF3 TI200 till the next gen vid cards come out then I will upgrade my vid card. I also have a verbatim dvd burner that I will be putting in the system as well as an 80 gig hd.
Now I am planning on gettign another hd preferable a 160gig one. My question is should I get a controller card and run the two HD's off the controller card and the cd-roms of the ide ports? Woudl this give me a decent speed increase? I do alot of multitasking and i was afraid that having the HD's on the same channel as the cd-roms woul slow me down sicne I do alot of cd-burning and watching dvd's on the comp while surfing the internet. So should I get a controller card or am I just wasting my money?
